Koreografi Veli Lehtovaara tutkii tanssin ja koreografian ekologista poetiikkaa. Erityisesti tarkastelun kohteena ovat energian ruumiillinen kokemus ja siirtymä jälkifossiiliseen kehollisuuteen. Tutkimuksen juurina ovat tanssitaiteen piirissä harjoitettu ruumiin tuntoisuus, sekä havaintoa suuntaavat ja virittävät tekniikat. Keho- ja ympäristötietoisuus kulkevat taiteellisessa työssä rinnakkain.

Choreographer Veli Lehtovaara (he/him) explores the ecological poetics of dance and choreography. His focus is particularly on the bodily experience of energy and the transition to post-fossil corporeality. The roots of this research lie in the body awareness practiced within the field of dance, as well as in techniques that direct and attune perception. Body awareness and environmental awareness go hand in hand in his artistic practice.
